Since his first venture in 1995, Marc has created several successful businesses including two leading companies, Cyberplex and Points International.  Marc Lavine has demonstrated repeated success of the ability to conceive innovative new business ideas, transform them into profitable operating companies and realize significant gains on his equity.

As a Co-Founder of Cyberplex in 1995, Cyberplex was an internet pioneer and Canada’s first Internet strategy and development firm.  Marc led the listing of the corporation on the Toronto Venture Exchange and as one of the first publically traded Internet companies, Cyberplex led a rapid succession of acquisitions to become an international leader.  The market cap reached a high of $500 million in 2000.

Through exclamation, Marc was the Creator of Points International in 1998. Marc was Chairman / Director until 2007. In 1998, Marc realized that loyalty points are a ‘real’ currency.  Any transactions that can be executed with cash or other securities can also be applied to loyalty points.  With the same approach, exclamation turned this idea and initial capital into a profitable business.  Points International raised over $60 million and developed a world class partnerships.  Points now transacts over 1 billion points monthly.  The corporation is listed on the TSX and NASDAQ, and saw its shares rise from $0.50 to over $4.00 in 2007/2008.

Since resigning as a director of Points in 2007, Marc has been involved in the creation of four new ventures and is currently working on a new idea that builds on his learning and success with Points.
